    OUR VISION

Veritas is an outreach ministry to the city of Tulsa intentionally designed to provoke Biblical literacy and spiritual discernment among God’s remnant people. We are a people who are committed to following, serving, and being transformed by Jesus Christ. Our community of faith gathers each week to worship God and to deepen our understanding of the Bible through challenging interactive instruction that reorients believers to the centrality of Christ and His coming Kingdom without compromise.

Our people recognize the great value of the children of our community and are committed to safeguarding their spirituality through consistent Biblically-centered teachings that are designed to challenge them from an early age to achieve intimacy with Christ and a sincere knowledge of their chosen faith.

Our love for the people of Tulsa, and our burden for those who do not intimately know Christ, motivates us to share our faith and knowledge through intentional evangelism and random acts of compassion and service to our neighbor.

    OUR STORY

Since he was a young child, Jerry Robinson has been involved in ministry. Raised as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, Jerry became heavily involved in promoting the false religion of his upbringing until he had a personal encounter with Jesus Christ in the spring of 1994. Prior to his conversion, Jerry was baptized in the Jehovah's Witness faith and desired to go into full time ministry as a Jehovah's Witness. His dramatic conversion to Christianity led him to an even deeper study of the Bible. In 1995 Jerry entered Bible College. In 2002 he was licensed and ordained as a minister of the Gospel. Thus, began his ministry, Jerry Robinson Ministries International. From 2003 to 2007, Pastor Jerry served in two local churches holding various pastoral staff positions.

Since entering Christian ministry, Pastor Jerry has become disturbed by at least three major problems confronting the American church. First, the lack of basic theological understanding among most followers of Christ. Few Christians today know what they believe and why they believe it. In addition to a lack of sound doctrine, the second problem that disturbed Pastor Jerry was the lack of evangelism emanating from most American churches. As Pastor Jerry often says: "Those who do not know why they believe what they believe will convince no one to believe." And third, Pastor Jerry saw a need to reach out to the many Christians who had been spiritually wounded in Tulsa-area churches. Poor church leadership coupled with a weak theology have been a noxious mix in the American church. The result has been many disillusioned people who desperately want to serve Christ, but refuse to do so within the confines of the modern insitutional church.

After a time of intense prayer, God planted the vision for the Veritas Theology Forum into Pastor Jerry's heart in the Winter of 2007. In order to meet, Veritas would need a building located in a convenient location in Tulsa. True to His Word, God provided the building almost immediately. Veritas Theology Forum held its first meeting with nearly sixty people on March 2, 2008 in the beautiful and spacious Tulsa Junior League building in Midtown. Nearly one year after its inception, Veritas is growing strong. Each week, people from all walks of life join together for live praise and worship music and in-depth Biblical teaching and group discussion.

Near the end of 2008, Pastor Jerry began to sense that it was time to open a Children's ministry designed to reach out to the children of Tulsa with God's Word. In 2009, this vision became a reality. Today, Veritas has a growing and vibrant Veritas Kids ministry that is challenging little minds to believe the Bible. In addition, Veritas has a thriving women's ministry (Ladies of Veritas), a prayer line ministry (918-827-JRMI), and a global missions ministry (Global Veritas Initiative.) And in the summer of 2009, Veritas plans to greatly expand our Veritas Kids ministry and to unveil a street evangelism team that will take the message of Christ to the streets of Tulsa.

While many exciting changes lie ahead for Veritas and for our people, one thing will always remain the same: Our commitment to upholding the integrity of God's Word through solid Biblical instruction, and to spreading the fame of Christ's name to every man, woman, and child that we are privileged to encounter.

    OUR FAITH

The Veritas Theology Forum is not affiliated with any denomination but instead seeks to work together with all denominations in accordance with our ministry's God-given mission and vision. Pastor Jerry Robinson recognizes, and is sensitive to, the many doctrinal divisions within the modern Christian church. However, he believes that these divisions are ultimately detrimental to the purposes of the universal church. Minute variations on Christian doctrine have led to new denominations being created all in the name of doctrinal purity. Instead of doctrinal division, Veritas seeks unity in the Body of Christ and in a literal rendering of God's Word. While we unapologetically hold fast to the essential doctrines of the Christian faith (1 Thess. 5:21), we also avoid hostile debate regarding the non-essentials. (1 Tim. 6:20)
