Using Whatever Means Necessary…

“How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace.”
(Romans 10:15 NKJV)

The Roman Empire built the roads that the Apostle Paul, and all who followed him, would use to spread the gospel all throughout Eurasia in the 1st century.

Johannes Gutenberg, through his invention of the first printing press, enabled the dissemination of the Bible into the common language that sparked the Protestant Reformation at the end of the Middle Ages.

America’s introduction to the audiocassette tape in 1964 enabled the recording and mass distribution of the greatest Christian teaching revolution in modern times.

Today, instant global communication has become commonplace. A televised event in Tokyo can be broadcast in Ethiopia in a fraction of a millisecond. A picture taken in Tulsa can be seen in Thailand seconds after being taken. Make no mistake. This global communication revolution that you and I are witnessing is the fulfillment of scripture and is therefore God ordained. (Matt. 24:14) God, in His rich mercy, is enabling Christians to reach every corner of the globe because His return is near and because He is “not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” (2 Pet. 3:9) Should we not exploit these days and reap the harvest God has bountifully prepared?

Global crisis coupled with instant global communication presents a truly remarkable opportunity to further advance the kingdom of God. Many disciples will be born out of this unique time of globalization. Will you help further the gospel in this time of need?

The apostle Paul was a radical disciple of Jesus Christ who used the severely limited technology of his day to reach as many people with the message of the Gospel as he possibly could. He had roads. We have instant global communication. How are you using it to further the cause of Christ?

Prayer: “Lord, open my eyes to the abundant opportunities that surround me each day to spread your fame. Come Lord Jesus!”
