There is little in this world that is more precious than a praying mother. But if you are a believer in Christ, I have wonderful news for you. Jesus Christ is at the right hand of the Father currently making intercession right now... for you. In other words, Christ is praying fervently for you to succeed spiritually in this life. This is incredible and almost difficult to believe, isn't it?

First, let us consider that intercession is the most unselfish thing anyone could ever do for another person. This should be quite humbling that Jesus Christ Himself would pray for us.

And second, why would the Creator of the Universe, the most infinite and impenetrable being in existence, be thinking and interceding for you or me right now? Certainly He has more important things to do with His time, right? Perhaps if you or I were God, (scary thought) we would find something more “important” to do. But not so with our loving, gentle and Almighty God. The Bible informs us that His love for us is deep and that His grace and mercy toward us is so rich. Why? Because He loves us with an unsearchable love and He cares for us even when we do not care for ourselves. He is so deeply in love with us and He wants each of us to know it.

God is proud of you. Not because of your righteousness. But instead because as a believer, you reflect the glorious righteousness of His only Son, Jesus Christ. When He looks at you, He sees a justified saint, made possible through the imputed righteousness of Christ that came through the shed blood of an innocent one at the cross of Calvary. Because of Christ, you can stand innocent of all crimes against God.

God treasures you as one of His own. You are an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ!

God cares for you. The hairs on your head are numbered and God promises that He will provide ALL of your needs as you seek first His glorious Kingdom.

God takes pleasure in you. You are a jewel in His crown. Your redeemed life is evidence that Satan the devil was wrong. Nothing can separate you from the love of God that is found in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When you look at things from this perspective, doesn't it make many of our temporary "trials and troubles" seem quite small?

The Bible says that we can enjoy an “abundant life” because Christ has purchased it for us. But I would ask, how is any other kind of life than "abundant life" possible when Christ himself is praying and interceding on your behalf constantly? Hallelujah! The sacrificial death of Christ brought us eternal forgiveness and Christ’s perpetual intercession brings us infinite grace and mercy. Glory to God! Take time to praise the Lord today for your glorious adoption into the family of God.

Prayer: “Lord, thank you for your great love and mercy toward me. That Your Son would die for me and now continually intercede on my behalf is unfathomable and awe-inspiring. Help me to mirror Your unsearchable love to this desperate world.”
